Walking Mathematics Students through the Maze of Chi-square Test of Independence and Homogeneity, Test Involving Several Proportions, and Goodness-of-fit Test

چکیده

This study illustrates some practical steps lecturers could use to enable students apply the chi-square concept. The relied on a definition and theorem based theoretical model. participants consisted of seventy (70) (fifty-five (55) males fifteen (15) females) level 100 mathematics from university in Ghana. They were all admitted public senior high schools across country. completed tasks assigned them their various groups through active learning, as lecturer facilitated process. guided complete related applications test solving problems. results indicated that learning exposed varied ways test. An implication this is should teach about theorems proofs applications. These are significant because they absolute truths. develop deeper understanding underlying concepts. concludes by working with concrete examples, gradually internalized concept-acquisition skills extent confidently identified what concept every question.
